
It is uncommon for a Hindi film to consistently make above Rs 20 crore on every single day of its release. But the Chhaava juggernaut continues to remain unstoppable, and nothing seems to be coming in the way of Vicky Kaushal’s blockbuster historical saga. On Friday, on its eighth day of release, Chhaava managed to make around Rs 23 crore. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, this has pushed the film’s total domestic collections to Rs 242.25 crore. Globally, the film has made almost Rs 350 crore so far, according to Bollywood Hungama.
With Rs 242.25 crore after eight days, Chhaava is poised to become Vicky’s highest-earning film since Uri: Surgical Strike. Directed by Aditya Dhar, Uri made Rs 244.14 crore in the Hindi markets, and it is crystal clear that Chhaava will easily surpass this number to take they spot as early as today. On the other hand, his co-star Rashmika Mandanna’s golden run in Hindi cinema continues, as it is her third straight film to enter the Rs 200 crore club. Her previous films include Pushpa 2: The Rule (Rs 800+crore) and Animal (Rs 500+ crore)
